There are several ways that you can fund your checking or savings account:
- You can do an ACH from your current bank to the credit union.
- You would first select external transfer. If this is your first transfer from your current bank to Generations United, select Add account.
- You will need to Add the routing number for Generations United (026084754)
- You will need to enter your Generations United checking or savings account number which can be found on your mobile app under favorite account / account details / more account details. When you see your account number in this section add a leading 1 to the account number, followed by four zeroes, your member account number, and 100 (for checking) or 000 (for savings).
- Example: 10000xxxxx100 (for checking)
- You would then need to re-enter this checking or savings number.
- If this is your first transfer to Generations United you may be asked to do test transactions of small amounts ($0.01, $0.25) to ensure that your information was entered correctly.
- The test transactions usually take 24 to 48 hours to hit your Generations United account. Once they do you are now able to ACH money to Generations United.
- You can deposit a check from your current bank at one of our 30,000 ATMs
- On the website or on the mobile app, select ATM locator and enter the zip code of your local area to find an ATM.
- You can deposit a check at a physical shared branch location.
- On the website or the mobile app, select Shared Branching and enter the zip code of your local area to find a bank branch in our network.
- When you are in the branch, you just ask the teller for a shared branch deposit slip.
- Enter checking/saving on the deposit slip with the corresponding account number.
- Enter the name: Generations United FCU on the deposit slip
- You can deposit a check from your current bank using the deposit feature on the mobile app.
- Sign your check and on the back of the check add your Generations United account number.
- You will need to take a picture of the front and back of the check.
